Any service oriented company is only as good as the people that make things happen. We look for characteristics in all of our associates that will translate into “good things” for our customers and everyone we do business with. Our management group has many years of experience and varied backgrounds that insure that our team remains diverse and customer focused. Meet our key executives:

Victor M. Marshall, CCIFP -President

Vic Marshall has over 25 years combined work experience in the construction arena. 13 years experience in both field and administrative positions with major US contractors prepared Vic for his role the last 15 years in helping contractors to better manage their information system requirements.

A past National At-Large director for the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), member of CFMA’s executive committee, and previous chair of the Education committee, Vic takes an active role in CFMA at a local, regional and national level. He was honored as the 1998 recipient of CFMA’s Deborah Hahn Award. This award is given annually to a member who best exemplifies the spirit of CFMA. Vic is also active in the Construction Association of Michigan and the Project Management Institute.

Vic has previously served as a seminar presenter, after-dinner and key-note speaker at a variety of industry related functions. He also contributes to industry publications on a regular basis. Some of the industry groups he has worked with include CFMA, NAWIC, MACPA, AICPA, ABC, MCA, NSPE, NECA, ENR and AGC.

Since 2002,Vic has served as the project manager for the annual updates to Financial Management and Accounting for the Construction Industry- a 2 volume reference published jointly by CFMA and Nexis/Lexis. His responsibilities in this capacity include determining editorial enhancements and revisions required due to changes in the construction industry environment and insuring that the publication continues it’s reputation as the “bible” for Construction Financial executives.

Vic has undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Economics and a Masters in Business, all from Eastern Washington University. He is also a licensed Contractor in the State of Michigan.

In May 2004, Vic sat for and passed the initial Construction Financial Professional certification exam sponsored by the Institute of Certified Construction Financial Professionals. This intensive 4 hour exam covered knowledge of accounting, cash management, legal, risk management, human resources, technology and project management for the construction industry.

Maureen F. Marshall- Executive Vice President

Maureen has over 20 years experience working in the information management arena. Her career began with the training of new customers back in the early 1980’s. She continued to grow and mature, taking on larger responsibilities for new customer implementations through out the 1980’s.

Maureen was a founder and principle of Just for You, a publication for hospital patients to help them to better understand the strange environment that they were in and to provide interesting articles to help pass the time.

Beginning in early 1990, Maureen became progressively more involved with the initial contact and needs analysis of potential clients and gradually expanded her presence in the sales world, first as an account executive, then a territory manager and finally National Director of Sales for a number of the largest providers of health care management software in the industry.

Maureen has now dedicated her talents to the growth and development of Leveraged Resources. She brings a diverse and well developed skill set to lead the company in key operational areas.

Maureen received a BA from Iona College in New York and holds an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston.

Amy L. Shepherd- Director of Client Services

Amy brings extensive experience and dedication to the support and success of our clients. Primarily responsible for the training and implementation of new customers, Amy also is responsible for implementing new programs and opportunities to help our clients continue to receive maximum benefit from their investment in information technology.

A large part of Amy’s career has been in the health care sector, with particular emphasis on the training of new clients. She also brings a great deal of experience dealing with large and complex system implementations and project management is her strength.

After taking a number of years “sabbatical” to concentrate on nurturing her children, Amy has now re-entered the business world and brings the advantage of purpose and vision to her mission to help our clients to get up and running on their software as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Amy has an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in Telecommunications and a Masters in Education from Wayne State.

James A. Coen- Director of Sales

JC, as Jim is known to all, brings a wealth of experience and practical experience in the construction industry. JC began his career in Public Accounting in 1972 after obtaining his degree in Accounting from the Ohio State University, He worked in public and private accounting for 15 years before transitioning to accounting system solutions in 1988. JC has had a long and varied career in information systems; including 6 years as the principal of his own full service IS business. For the past 19 years, Jim has focused exclusively on the construction industry and has worked with a variety of software solutions including Software Shop, Maxwell, Meridian, Timberline, GEAC and Alligo/H2.

During this time, Jim has developed an extensive understanding of the estimating, construction accounting, project, and service management functions in the residential, specialty and general contracting environments. In addition, JC also is well versed in Property Management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications.

JC is also active in a number of construction industry associations including the Construction Financial Management Association, where he has served as a member of the National Technology Committee as well as his active involvement with the local chapter in Columbus. Jim has also been active in the Central Ohio Building Industry Association and has served as a presenter at a number of industry events.

In his role as Director of Sales, JC is responsible for ensuring that Leveraged Resources provides the best possible combination of information solutions to meet our client’s needs, that we work closely with our customers to insure that we fully understand their solution requirements and we provide the best possible combination of products and services to our clients to ensure their success. Jim Coen is an integral part of our commitment to our customers- to help them grow-profitably!!

Danny B. Parrish- Director of Professional Services

Danny brings his 30 years experience in Accounting and Business Management to help our customers to grow their business- profitably. Information Management is one key area of business management. Danny has over 25 years experience directing the business activities of successful contracting and architectural enterprises. He has been a key Senior Management player and has successfully helped companies to deal with financial and risk management, human resources, information technology and strategic business planning.

Danny has been deeply involved with the Construction Financial Management Association for nearly 25 years and has served in just about every leadership role possible at both a local and national level. For most individuals, the culmination of CFMA leadership involvement would be National President ( 1996-96) but Danny has continued to play a key role in CFMA and in 1999, the Danny Parrish Leadership Award was instituted by CFMA to honor members who exhibit exemplary leadership skills.

Danny also is involved as a key advisor to the industry. He has served in a variety of advisory capacities. Among them:

• Member of the Technology for Contractors Conference Advisory Board (formerly the A/E/C Systems National Conference Advisory Board) for 8 years
• Member of the Steering Committee for the annual AGC/CFMA Construction Financial Management Conference since its inception-7 years.
• Former member of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) National Tax and Fiscal Affairs Committee.
• 2003 judge for Constructech Magazine’s 2003 Vision Awards for technological innovation in the construction industry
• Member of the steering committee for the A/E Design and Design-Build Financial Management Conference presented by the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA)-2002
• Former member of the Finance Committee of the Design-Build Institute of America and former Chairperson of the Administrative /Financial/Technology Task Force of the DBIA
• Member of the Board of Advisors and Contributors of Construction Accounting and Taxation-8 years
• Judge for the prestigious International Risk Management Institute (IRMI) Construction Risk Management Best Practices Award during its first two years

Danny is also a frequent contributor, both as an author and a presenter. He has led over 100 presentations at various construction industry meetings and conferences, including CFMA (national and chapter), AGC, ABC, DBIA, AICPA (national and state), CICPAC and A/E/C Systems events, serving for a number of years on the steering and planning committees for several of those conferences.

Danny has a BS in Accounting fro Western Kentucky College and is a graduate of the American Management Association Senior Management program.
